Here are some of my paintings ‘in-situ!’

Tomorrow I shall mostly be waiting for the postman. Why, I hear you ask? Well, I am expecting my ‘proof’ of my first ever limited edition print! I am quite excited indeed. It’s like waiting for Santa!
I need to set aside some time also to tidy my studio and reorganise it. It shouldn’t take too long – but I don’t have a lot of time set aside for little projects like this at the moment, so it might have to wait. In the meantime, I have been collecting some ideas. I feel the need for some organised shelving and files….

It’s Monday again.
Hello new working week!

Any day now www.angelabrowningart.com should be active. From here you will be able to view my portfolio and buy my prints – as well as commission me to paint your beloved pet! I love doing pet portraits, it’s my favourite part of being an artist.
If you can’t wait until the website goes live and want me to paint your pet- email me at mail@angelabrowningart.com
Yesterday, Sarah and I went down to our favourite coastline (Sandbanks and Shell Bay in Poole, Dorset) to take some photographs and inspiration for my new work…. ok, and the weather was absolutely lovely, so it certainly wasn’t a chore to decide whether to make the 3 hour journey or not!
You have to grab every opportunity you get when it’s a nice day in the UK. You might not see the sun shine for another 6 months. And this was possibly one of the last sunny days of late summer, because as we get into October, winter will follow briskly! (which reminds me, I need to get my winter scarfs and hats out of the vac-pac just so that I am prepared!)

I wanted to get some good snaps of windsurfers and, low and behold, they had a Windsurfing festival on! I couldn’t believe my luck - I got some awesome pictures. As it was a such a sunny day, every boat owner in the south was out too, so the horizon was dotted with a lovely pattern of white sails – amazing. I can’t wait to get started on some paintings from these images. (I get what I call the ‘painting itch’ when I get inspired by something…. !)
So Sarah and I made our way down to Bournemouth first for my favourite food – Wagamamas! We LOVE Wagamamas! But they had been a bit stingy with the chicken in my dish ‘Yaki Soba’. I’ve eaten the same dish at many Wagamamas, and this was the stingiest portion! I know I am small, but there’s no need to give me a kiddies meal! haha…
We then headed out to Sandbanks, then over the ferry to Studland, Shell Bay and Knoll Bay. By the time we got to Knoll bay, we were able to walk around the coastline to some of the smaller and quieter hidden beaches that only those in the ‘know’ know about! I almost got Sarah and I cut off by the tide at one point, being a bit adventurous and climbing over rocks to get to another inlet! Ooops. Luckily there was a coastal path nearby so we were able to find out way back to the car, lucky we did because there was an amazing viewpoint where I got some amazing snaps from the top.
By this point, I’d taken so many pictures that my camera battery was almost dead! So I ended up having to use Sarah’s camera phone, and then I made her phone battery die too! Ooops.
To finish off our British Seaside day-trip, on the way back home we stopped to get fish and chips ( Oooh yeah!) before Sarah reluctantly returned home to her husband who was having a Playstation tournament with his mates!
Isn’t it amazing how being on the beach or by the sea gives you an amazing feeling of refreshment and clarity? I’d been a bit stressed last week with all the pressure of the exhibition but I now feel like I am totally refocused and have a new sense of clarity. I just wish that these sunny days weren’t so rate in the UK. ….And that I could live by the sea one day.

Sarah and Me (in my favourite orange top!)
Since I started working as an artist my friends have been incredibly supportive.
They help me out, give me great advice and lift me up when I’m feeling down in the dumps (usually when I’m having a crisis of confidence!) . I truly have fantastic friends and I feel very lucky that they are all mine (and no you can’t have them!)… Obviously I often wonder how the ever put up with me (and my moaning) sometimes!
At school I got bullied (mainly for being a tomboy and short with no boobs haha) so I never had a great bunch of friends but now I feel like I really do and they were worth the wait. I am the luckiest girl to have such great people in my life.
I have this little box on the top of my desk in my studio that my good friend Sarah gave me and I often glance at it during my day. I decided to take a few photos of some objects, including this box, from my studio.

The little box that sits on my desk... It reads, 'If friends were flowers, I'd pick you' So cute!

Paints - lots of 'em!
