Well, the exhibition is now in full swing!
Sorry I haven’t had an opportunity to blog for the last week, but I’ve been working down at the studio every day where I do not have the internet (yes, internet withdrawal symptoms are starting to kick in).
I have now settled into my exhibition space at the New Brewery Arts in Cirencester and all the hard work over the last couple of months has all been worth while to see my work on the walls, finally!
Everyone is saying how colourful, summery and vibrant the space looks too – which is wonderful - Just how I hoped it would make people feel!
I even had a double page spread in the Weekend Supplement of the local paper this yesterday. (Yes, it was very weird seeing my face starring back at me from the page…)
If you’ve not managed to get down to see me yet, there’s still some time left. I am there until Saturday 17th October.

Thank you to everyone who has visited so far!
If you have been to the exhibition already, what was what your favourite piece?

My favourite piece is the photograph of you Angela! OK, sadly I didn’t know about the exhibition until reading about it after the event, but I think that your art is really uplifting and clever. What is also intriguing is that you seem to like, and paint, the same places as me: St Ives, Sandbanks, Perth, Sydney, Cheltenham, etc. I have purchased several paintings by John Hammond over the years, and it also seemed at the time that he had been following me (!), with his paintings of Pollensa, Venice, Provence, Devon, etc…
You also seem to love architecture as I do. Have you sketched Bath, Bristol and Cotswolds yet? There is plenty of scope here. You say that you paint animals; what about humans?
I look forward to meeting you sometime to view and talk about your art and aspirations over a coffee and cupcakes (plural!). x

Thanks for your comment Nick and for stopping by! How did you find/hear about my website and blog? It’s great that you enjoy visiting the same places as I do too – you do not however say where you are based now, I hope it’s somewhere in the lovely cotswolds!? And yes, I also paint humans, in fact I finished a commission of a gentleman who I painted today that his family purchased for his birthday (it’s a surprise so I cannot upload it until I have given it to them! But I will do when I have!). Best wishes, Angie
